When I was in kindergarten, we learned our letters with the letter people. Our school no longer uses them in that way, after all the kids now have to know their letters before they start kindergarten. However, they do still have "letter person day". It is so cute, anytime you mention that you are etting ready for letter person day to anyone, they will tell you what they were or what their children were. It is just a big deal here. So today is "Letter person Day". Donna asked to be Mr. D because it starts her name and that is why it is her favorite letter. D is delicious donuts. We are given a paper that shows a small picture of each letter person. It is the letter D coverent in donuts. SO I went to work making felt donuts with felt frosting (in chocolate and white) and seed bead sprinkles on top. I also made one to go in her hair over her ponytail.

I didn't expect it to take me as long as it did... why do I not ever realize how long these things RAELLY take? In the end it is very much worth it... however I think I will keep the sheet and stat working On Chloe's letter person costume the first day of kindergarten!Oh, Alex was Mr. B. He had a white over sized T-shirt(Which is what you are told to do, but I learned with Alex that you don't want oversized or you have to do more work!) Then we covered it in buttons. I started out sewing them on, by hand... I soon understood just how many buttons this project was truely going to take and went to the store for more buttons and fabric glue. By the time his was done, it took 3 days to fully dry, and weighed more than he did, or very close to it (he was VERY skinny then!) Now I just really need to keep these experiances in my mind so I can get an early start on Chloe and Ethan's.
