Single mom for the week.

It is always good for me to have Adam gone for a week now and then. He is in Vegas this week, and things have actually gone well. I enjoy him taking these work trips for a few reasons.
1. I don't feel so guilty the next time I go scrapbooking. :)
2. I appreciate him more.
3. I sleep better because I am so exhausted!

It has been a good week. Dance ended last week which makes a HUGE difference!! Also, Alex's is done with most of his homework for the year. All he has now is to write poems every night. Not near as much as the hour plus every night before. Ethan doesn't seem to be kicking that ear infection, so his nights aren't great, but aside from that, no one is sick! woot!!

I have done good as far as the work I wanted to get done. I have gotten about half of it done, and if you know me, I always plan at least twice what I can actually get done. I am fighting a migraine today, and have bad cramps, I'm not sure why that couldn't have waited a couple more days, but it seems that it couldn't. The kids aren't fighting, and I got a bit of rest at nap time today even. It has been a surprisingly good week.

Tomorrow is going to be a great day! We will be picking daddy up at the airport after school. The kids don't know that though. Adam has told them that he would be home in time to eat with them and put them to bed, and I have told them I need to go shopping in DesMoines, but they haven't put the 2 together because Adam drove to DesMoines. I can't wait to see their faces when I pull up at the airport!

I better get back to my laundry and dishes. I wanted to have them both 100% done when Adam got home... I will have the laundry all washed, just not put away. My back hurts to bad to haul them all up the stairs this week. I may have the kids do some of it in small loads though... ooooh that is a good idea. (we are working on a chore chart for them, but that is another blog entry... if I ever get around to it)

Today I feel very blessed. This week I think has gone better than any other week when Adam has been gone. I still need to get 2 Dr. appointments and the van in to the get the oil changed. Adam tried to change the oil, then I tried... but when we had it done last, they tightened it down with an air gun... so we can't get them off now. Now I am rambling again... I haven't gotten stuck between the toilet and the wall (2 weeks before Chloe was born) No all night screamers(last year) Have a great day everyone!!!
